memoirs of a former bar star

sun moving
sky dimming
shadows growing
eyesight thinning

lips shimmer
shoes glitter
cleavage jitter
nicotine dinner

beats pulsing
single mom bussing
bodies grinding
jealous boyfriend fussing

i have tasted the sweet nectar of sonic bliss. it calls to me long after the sweat has dried on my skin. my clothes are in a smoky pile on the floor but i still hear the ring of a night soaked in ear mayhem.
